Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

  C ognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)is simple talk therapy and easy to use technique. CBT was developed by psychiatrist “Aaron Beck ”in 1960s. It focused on dysfunctional thoughts, which cause the adverse emotional consequences. Dysfunctional thoughts are dispute to change the negative emotions. It is mainly followed by different sessions, having a composite structure. I’m going to explain the second session of CBT that begins after the completion of  the first  session. In the second session, the client educated about the  ABCDE   model ; that is, the  activating event, negative thoughts about the phenomenon, and how these thoughts should be change with an alternative or positive thoughts to change the negative emotions” .
